Has anyone gone through the Red Manual yet? What are your thoughts?
I have a copy of the new "red" manual. I have only look at the weekend schedule trying to see what has changed.
I am disappointed. I wonder if the purpose of change is to improve the weekend or to raise money for KPM. On Sunday I am disturbed with putting in a fictional story about a "rooster" rather than a story from scripture! I will try to keep an open mind. In Christ, Walt TeStrake
...I agree with you and I haven't seen the manual, keep your mind closed on this. If the scripture cannot prod the heart and mind to change, a fictional story is going to do even less. Being mindful, that Jesus thought with parables, fictional stories, but His stories always had a basis in His message...I don't know the rooster story, but my inclination is to do an about face on the KPM Manual and open the Bible...that's my 1.89 value of my my 2 cents worth.. . God bless all. Warren
It appears that the Red Manual is spending more time on acceptance of self and Christ's forgiveness. The Rooster story plays into that. However, there are plenty of biblical stories that convey the same message - probably better than the rooster story. Do we have to go with the rooster story or can we find a good biblical story to substitute for it?

I've scanned it but not very deeply. My first reaction tothe new Sunday morning memory exercise is that it is too long and involves too much reading. It's going to take more careful study.
We also need to look at possible schedule changes in light of he combined talks. It would be great if could have the closing early Sunday afternoon and be on the way out by 3:30PM.
Peace,
Jim
By the time Sunday morning comes along, I'm too fried to do any deep memorization. I missed the connection between combined talks and a shorter Sunday. It would be nice to get home earlier!
Are there any plans to go over the new schedule with Paul Y?
